Photos like this are very hard-hitting.  I’m not sure that anybody ever sets out to become an addict, but it is the sad outcome of so many lives.  These people are somebody’s sons and daughters and sometimes they are even parents.  If only more could be done to prevent the scourge of addiction in our society.
